Questions regarding buying
At Alasecond we sell second-hand dance related items. Here you can find your favourite items at an affordable price. We do NOT accept requests for reselling pointe shoes or soft ballet shoes. We cover different sizes and options from men and women’s dancewear to children’s ballet clothing. If just like us you got tired of paying tremendous amounts on new dancewear (yes, we did get tired), then you are at the perfect place!
Alasecond proceeds to a virtual check-up by requesting clear pictures and detailed information of each item. If the item’s condition is not adequate, it won’t be accepted in our store.
If the item passes the first check-up, a second check-up will be done when the item arrives to our storage. Please be aware that both check-ups are done by three professional dancers who have a lot of experience with dancewear.
Like other dance wear brands, we don’t accept return requests if the item doesn’t fit.
If the item got damaged during the shipping process, we will ask you to provide us clear pictures of the damaged good as well as its’ packaging. Later on we can proceed to a return of the product and you will be reimbursed.
Delivery times can vary depending on how far an item has to travel to reach its’ final destination (from 2 to 10 days). However, when you buy an item you will be given its’ shipment number which will then allow you to follow it at any time.
Delivery costs vary from country to country and the price is also influenced by the final weight of the package you have ordered (on average between 10-25 euros).
Questions regarding selling
Simply fill in the form on our SELL page and follow all the steps required. Please make sure the item you are about to show us is in a correct condition otherwise we won’t be able to sell it in our store.
We kindly ask you to make sure the item is well protected when you send it so that no damage it done during the shipping process. We will provide you a shipping label to print out which you can then simply stick on the package of the item. The final step is to go to your nearest post office and send your package to:

Alasecond takes 50% commission on each item sold.
If an item does not sell after having been online for 12 months or more, we will take full commission as it will become part of our archive collection and will eventually be given to charity or material recycling organizations.
Other questions
Alasecond contributes to the environment by giving a second life to every dance related item. When you shop at Alasecond you are reducing carbon emissions that normally occur with the production of new items.
We believe in finding more and more sustainable clothing solutions and we felt that this particular point was lacking in the dance industry which inspired us to come up with the idea of creating an online second-hand dancewear store.
Alasecond ships to every country within the Europe Union as well as to the United Kingdom. We do hope to extent our concept on other continents soon and make more people choose sustainable dance wear.
At the moment Alasecond accepts items to sell from countries within the European Union as well as from the United Kingdom.
